OK, so here we go, here is the "About Trainers page" http://www.whisperingrainfarms.com/aboutthetrainer.htm There are COUNTLESS misspellings on here and a few pictures in questions... namely the black AQHA picture that shows a VERY ribby horse, the picture of her jumping that is just 100% gag worthy, and many other gems...
Go to the prices and directions page for one of her "student" riding in SNEAKERS!! *sigh* On the Home page as well we see a very upset, bucking horse and magically 3 weeks later we have the owners daughter riding it. And in what you might ask?? Yes, sneakers and no helmet...
Maybe that is appropriate riding etiquette in Alabama, but here in the good 'ol Seattle area, that shit does NOT fly. Now I know we've gotten into discussions about ADULTS wearing helmets, but as for children? There is NO F-ing exception for safety! They should have boots and a helmet.
Anyways, go have a little look for yourselves, I, myself have to stop looking at it, as I feel it's raping my brain...

What is UP with the head down hunter jumpers?! Ya planning on rolling them over a fence like a big assed donut?
From their sold horses page:
"They have continued working on her ground work and the new owner has been laying across her back and she did great. I bet they'll be riding her by the time she turns 2yrs old!!"
Wheee!
Also check out the picture of fabulous trainer standing on a QH she used to own (who is, incidentally, actually really cute).
Woman has no equitation whatsoever, English or Western. I like how they brag about her competing at the AQHA World Show. Competing, but it says nothing about her WINNING or PLACING.
Ugh, I know right? It really makes a big fat mockery of those of us who CAN actually train and ride damn it!!!
My sides!!! My sides!!!! Plz make it stop! That is sooo funny. It's amazing how many people call themselves 'trainers' when they can train squat. I'm all up for riding bridless and things, but I think hopping on a horse, in a big ass pasture, are you really trying to get your self killed? If you want to do that, don't you have an arena? The crap their doing, wouldn't fly in Seattle, I agree. Or any where, where, what are the words? Oh yes, civilized people, who actually know how to ride. I can just imagine how long they would last in Seattle.... Probably not three seconds.... Sigh.... Oh well, it's ass hats like that, make our world go round, and give us entertanment daily.
I have to admit, as a completely backyard redneck growing up, I've definately been guilting of riding English without a helmet and in sneakers. BUT I AM NOT A TRAINER WITH A WEBSITE. I'm sorry, it's one thing if an individual makes those choices. But to actually call yourself a responsible trainer and coach, and ENCOURAGE that kind of behavior from your students? No minor is allowed to ride under my supervision without a helmet and proper footwear.
I absolutely ADORE how they mention "she had the opportunity to work with horses that competed in the AQHA World Show." Oh really? That's why EVERY single horse she's riding is some naggy looking rack of bones who couldn't cut it in a schooling show? She has like ONE picture of a decent looking animal that wasn't taken 20 years ago.
She's probably a half decent Western trainer, but good lord, that does NOT automatically make you a good trainer for everything! It reminds me of an ad that's posted in our local tack stores - some woman offering to train your horse and the picture shows her riding English (with that EXACT same horrific chair seat equitation) with a halter and leadrope!
Why do people seem to think that just because they can do something half-decent, that automatically means they're good enough to make money doing it?
Ah, yes, the blind leading the blinder.
She looks like she's soft, but she sure ain't no all-rounder, maybe with a few thousand more hours under her belt, and some better looking horses. And maybe some training in conformation. Why breed that grey mare? Why?? Oh, right she's unsound, of course! (smacks head)
Yeah, broke and ready for beginners in just three weeks. Poor green-broke mare. She'll be even greener, by the time she's done:(
Horses are such patient critters.

LOL, hey I used to jump like that, of course, then I learned how to do it properly.. Why do people post such bad pics??
Happy New Day 2!!
Meghan! You said EVERYTHING I was planning on pointing out... lol!
Also, I should totally quit selling cell phones and make a living training--if this woman can do it I am completely qualified!
ok, non-horsey hubby said, why is that horse so ribby?
Hmm...

I saw that too. what they should be writing is: I bet they'll be dosing her up with bute before she's 5yrs old! or how about: I bet they'll be putting her on a double decker to mexico before she's 10yrs old!
I was commenting on the weird western pleasure horse "peanut roller" body frame actually placing in hj classes. Head down riders usually get cured of that by their horse! Been there, got face bonked, ouch! Definitely NOT posting pics of me doing that anywhere.
The sad thing about no helmets is that people don't realize that allowing students to ride without helmets or in improper footwear will invalidate your insurance. Not meeting accepted safety standards is negligence. BTW, the heavy tread, wide, thick soled designer cowboy boots that they sell to kids are dangerous as hell!
Not to mention one of her apparent heroes is David Lee Archer...LOL *rolls eyes*
I'm a little late to this party, but the first thing that caught my eye, is the woman's name is "Amber Rain".
Wait for it...
Okay. Picture in your mind what would "rain", that was amber in color, or say "golden" in color be?...
I know that it is not her fault her mother named her like she was a Porn Star specializing in WaterSports, but she does not have to use her middle name.
Just an observation.
I have much more of a problem that helmets are optional on children at her barn.
How the heck do you train race horses and gentle colts at age 12??!!
