How cool!!! You will definitely have to post a lot about that. i've been somewhat starting to read some blogs of those that have picked up a horse. Very interesting the differences in some of them. Good luck!!

Congratulations, and I think I speak for us all when I say pictures will be needed!

Because, uh, you know, you don't have enough stuff on your plate :)

You should definitely talk whoever got Bella into blogging about her.

congrats! I've always been an admirer of your training teqniques.

Anyone else think they should do this sort of thing with auction horses? Buy your fugly at the auction, train it and compete it to win the big cash prize. Anyone can enter. It'd sure be an incentive for some lazy BYB to get off their asses and train their horses and it would be even better for the horses who would otherwise end up unbroke, worthless and sold to the meatman. It would give them a future.

But wait... isn't standing on your horse's back and jumping through hoops of fire REQUIRED for the mustang training??? How will your horse ever win if it only know useful things that will make it a good mount? Clearly everyone thats anyone wants a horse that can jump into the back of a moving pickup truck, who cares if they no their leads, right?
Sorry, I couldn't help myslef... seriously, it is so amazing that you get a chance to show what real training should look like! What an amazing opportunity to influence how people think about training horses on a national level, VERY exciting!

I think it's fantastic! I got to meet Mark Lyon and Christian a few months ago and I was really impressed by that horse. It wasn't so much jumping through hoops of fire that impressed me as much as the manners and response of that horse after what.. 100 days? I was very very impressed. And he's a sweet horse too.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I'm so excited for you! Mark told me he was asked to judge the competition this year. You win it THIS year, and you'll be judging it later!

I think it's FABULOUS!

LMAO!! I know!!!! I'm super excited, it'll be A LOT of hard work but sooooo worth it... and sadly o, I will not be standing on his back or jumping through fire lmao!!!!! BUT I need to come up with a good gimmick, like, hmmmmmm a GOOD RIDING HORSE LOL!!!

Congrats all 'round!

Definately keep us up to date with before and after pics, can't wait to see what you make of him/her/it.

Not many good rides out there, so that should be the best gimmick ever!

We're all pulling for you.

Awesome. That's some serious recognition. I have to plug the cow-horse ending for stangers. Have you thought about throwing in some serious english? That might really make for an awesome show at the finish.
