On a Scale of 1-10, Oh What the Hell You're Just Damn Dumb!

Maybe, just maybe it's the way the horse is laying, though I doubt it, but why on earth is it's hip bone that popped out??? Now in the (poorly written) ad, she does say that at the trainer's he wasn't fed and it's taken them 3 months to fatten him up... um... can I see a picture of him "fat" then??? PEOPLE PLEASE!! When advertising, please slooooow down, have someone edit your ad, and do not try to sell an emaciated horse for $1200.00 Thanks... ALSO! Check on your damn horses! I wouldn't trust anyone enough to just drop my horse off for training with someone I did not know very well and just ASSUME everything would be peachy! I REQUIRE people to come out and visit their horses when I have them in training!! Plus I take pics of them when they first arrive at my farm. I wouldn't dare get caught up in that "Oh the trainer starved my horse" bullshit... http://www.dreamhorse.com/show_horse.php?form_horse_id=1341645

I know a LOT of people and other trainers and so on and so forth. I happen to know some VERY good pony trainers as well. http://www.dreamhorse.com/show_horse.php?form_horse_id=1279656&share_this=Y Ponies can be a wee bit tricky as you need a rider/trainer who is proportionate to said pony. Especially if you are selling said pony for $5500.00 Um... yeah. the picture sucks, the woman is way too damn big for the pony and even if you ARE too big, I can let that go, but when you're big, gawky AND you look like a fat, floppy, fish atop that pony. Yeah I have a major issue with that. Ponies conformation, also looks a little sub par, though it could be because he has an additional 200lbs on his back. Watch the video on the sales page of her website. Which also has a few snags in it... here is an excerpt from the FRONT Page of her website... http://www.whisperingridge.org/index.html

"Whispering Ridge Welsh is located in South Eastern, North Dakota, USA. We are a small stud dedicated to the promotion and breeding of Welsh Sec. A, B & C with true Welsh conformation and movement to excel in riding, driving, and showing in hand."
A small stud huh? OK, neat!! Now there are some good, cute pics of ponies with good little riders on them. THAT is the type of photo I would expect to see, when you breed, own and sell "CHAMPIONS" Lmao! That has truly made my day!!

TRex, You've got the link for the bony arab twice...

And someone PLEASE yank that woman off that yellow pony? FFS. Someone needs to sit down and do the math with her, then have her pack around the same amount of weight proportionately. Bet she'd like that...

Shit, OK I fixed the link

That poor scrawny bay. Why is the kid ummm, not skinny? Maybe if this person got up off their ass, and worked, and bought some food for the HORSE.
Gah.

Yeah, big people on little ponies hurts my back.

Happy Eve Eve:)

Oh Gawd, I love it! The bay is "good with ridding." WTF? Freudian slip maybe, as in good at getting rid of rider?
Sad, just sad.

I do have to say that the pony's conformation is good enough that he's not bent in a u shape down to the ground! Stout little back there. I love ponies. Their sense of humor keeps them from killing all the jerks who so badly deserve it...they just mess with jerks a lot.

*snort* OMG Kestrel! You are so right! Ponies are great patience testers!!! hahahahaa

Looks like the Whispering Ridge folks have recently switched breeds... they've certainly got some nice ponies there but I cringe at the photo of that big woman leaning on that little gelding's kidneys.

Nothing pisses me off more then the "sent to a trainer" defense. I don't care if said trainer IS an asshat, you're MORE of an asshat and just as to blame for the condition of that animal as the trainer! Who in gods green earth just DUMPS an animal at a trainers for a few months?

I especially love how the emaciated Arab has had 10 rides and is already learning pole bending. Or the even BETTER question - why the hell did you even buy him in the first place?

Her last name is Shelabarger. *snickering like a kid in the back of the class in grade school*

Good thing. Her name has the word Barge in it. She's as big as one. Or at least the pony makes her look that way...

On the other hand, the pony is CUTE! I would take him/her home... The girls will be needing a pair of them.

Oh an dthe picture thing at the trainers... I learned that from Big Name Arab Farm.

When a horse left their place, they took 2 pictures, one of each side, showing the horse in good weight and their mane. They about flipped out that I had roached my horses mane when they took the pic. He was my horse and I worked there, but still pics were taken before he left.

Those ARE nice ponies, aren't they?
Wish I was shorter...
I used to hate knocking ponies legs with my feet:)

I love/hate ponies:)

To Pretty Yellow Strong-Backed Ponies
Why can't we breed horses that tough?

Trainer X said...

Hell yes! I always take pics, it's for everyone's best interest!
CNJ *lmao* you crack me up!

Anyone notice how the cute little pony has the same grand-dam? Isn't that otherwise frowned upon in the breeding industry, or are my hopes just too high?
